¶ Adding Legacy Accounts
- Enable Best Profiles
- Navigate to the Best Profiles tab
- Click 'Add New Legacy'
- Populate the relevant fields with your account credentials. See image below for guidance
(Proxies are optional) - Click 'OK', the account will now be listed under your Legacy Characters and you can use this to log in
- You can edit the character credentials or assigned proxy at any point by clicking the pencil icon next to the character within the character list
¶ Adding Jagex Accounts
- Enable Best Profiles
- Navigate to the Best Profiles tab
- Click 'Add New Jagex'
- Log into your Jagex Account in the window that opened
- Once logged in, you will see a list of accounts being imported to Best Profiles
- All characters tied to your Jagex Account will now be listed in your Best Profiles
- You can apply a proxy to these Characters within your Jagex Account by clicking the pencil next to the character
¶ Automatic In-Client Proxies, Per-Character And Global
Global Proxy
You can apply a global proxy to the client by selecting 'Apply Proxy' at the top of Best Profiles, this can subsequently be cleared by clicking the 'Clear Proxy' button.
Character Proxies
These can be set by editing the character details against each character record (pencil icon). Please see the information above on Adding Legacy/Jagex Accounts, which touches upon proxies in the later steps.

¶ Break Handler Integration
¶ Fully Encrypted On Disk
Best Profiles remains fully encrypted on your disk. As a result, if you forget your password, the data is not recoverable. You will need to reset Best Profiles and start from scratch.
¶ Better Profiles Importer
Import existing Better Profiles Accounts
- Click 'Import from Better Profiles'
- Enter your Better Profiles Password and Click 'OK'
- Your characters have been imported
¶ CSV Importer
If you have bulk legacy logins, you may prefer importing the credentials using a csv format.
Format: nickname,login,password,bankpin,proxy (1 account per line)
Empty values are allowed, and each line must have at least nickname,login,password specified (nickname can be empty)
Examples:
Empty nickname:
,[email protected],password123,0586,12.34.56.78:12345:goodusername:myproxypassword
No proxy:
nickname,[email protected],133typ4ssw0rd,3719,
Just login:
,[email protected],supersecurepassword,,
Everything:

¶ Saving & Reloading data
WARNING: You can overwrite your stored Best Profiles Data in an undesired way, causing data loss if you're not careful.
'Save Data' - This will allow you to 1) Save any adjustments to characters you made and 2) Change your Best profiles plugin password.
'Reload Data' - This will allow you to reload/refresh an existing client to reflect changes you've made on another client.
This feature is only relevant if you're playing on multiple clients.
